A sensory restorative experience guided by Emily Pope and Julius Betila to restore trust as NYC re-opens
About this event
We at WuWu, have been asking ourselves what is most needed now as the next Full Moon approaches. The Flower Moon, which is happening on May 26, 2021 is special for two reasons. It is a Blood Moon, and the “biggest” Supermoon of the year, but it is also during an eclipse or “Ring of Fire”. So, this Moon when it rises will take up a decent portion of the sky and it will go into shadow, and then return to light. A birth, death and rebirth of a giant Supermoon; the changing of the tides and the movement of all water (even inside us) will be significant. Deep and powerful currents will be set in motion; a flow.
In this quest, two words sparked resonance. Trust and touch. They are intertwined. These human acts of choice are basic, essential and profound. These two elements create a loving “circuitry” within our nervous system, necessary for a healthy immune system, mental/emotional wellness, and a sense of safety. So we, at WuWu have worked to create a mini retreat in honor of what our community needs.
On May 26th, you’re invited to join us to reconnect with Mother Nature, realign our hearts to our hands(Anahata), and meditate together under the Blood Moon with trust and touch as our guide.
The retreat with flow like this:
⭐️Forest Hike(to a specific local): We will walk with intention together awakening our listening skills.
⭐️Seated Chakra Meditation (circle): We will spend some time focusing on our breath as a guide to ground our energy to Mother Earth, and letting that energy open up our inner channels.
⭐️Gazing/Movement/ Light Body Meditation: We will partner up to continue to allow our energy to awaken through “seeing and honoring each other”, and practicing the art of gentle touch (standing guided movement)
⭐️Closing Circle: 61 Point Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation back into the self) We will then leave Forest Park together, and return for a backyard Gong Sound Bath, and some refreshments.
We plan to have some group intentions set, and safety guidelines established before we set off on our hike.
We hope you can join us on this momentous evening of celestial celebration and healing!
